Framed in a Florentine pattern gold frame to the edge of the painting and with anti-UV glass
This is an exceptionally large and highly-finished watercolour by the eminent British marine artist Geoffrey Huband. It depicts the start of one of the most famous naval actions in American history at the moment when the British 50-gun frigate HMS Serapis fires her port broadside into Commodore John Paul Jones's Bonhomme Richard.
Serapis was a much more powerful ship than Jones's converted East India trader but her commander Captain Pearson was eventually forced to strike and his ship was captured.

For larger pictures that are to be shipped we can use perspex instead of glass for security in transit - we may contact you to discuss this. Frame example shown above.
