The 3rd Battle Squadron is shown in an interesting view depicting HMS Dreadnought leading five King Edward Class pre-dreadnoughts - a contrast of designs.
The squadron is shown in Autumn 1916. HMS Dreadnought flies the flag of Rear Admiral Sir John M. de Robeck, (who had failed to force the Dardanelles in March 1915). She is followed by the King Edward VII class pre-dreadnought battleships Commonwealth, Dominion, Hindustan, Hibernia (Rear Admiral Cecil F. Dampier) and Zealandia.
The cruiser on the right of the picture is the 3rd class protected cruiser HMS Diamond and the liner shown is the P&O Morea. As the squadron was based on Sheerness it is appropriate that the sailing vessel, which in the Cull is a fishing craft, should be in this composition a spritsail Thames barge...

For larger pictures that are to be shipped we can use perspex instead of glass for security in transit - we may contact you to discuss this. Frame example shown above.
