Signed

An exceptional oil painting by the award-winning painter Richard Grenville showing H.M.S Victory breaking the line of the French and Spanish combined fleet at Trafalgar, 21st October 1805.

Victory is seen discharging her port broadside into the stern of Bucentaure, the flag-ship of Vice-Admiral Villeneuve, creating such devastation as to put Bucentaure virtually out of action.

At the left of the picture is the French ship Redoubtable, commanded by Captain Lucas, from whose fighting-tops was fired the shot that gave Nelson his mortal wound.
