The battleships are followed by the cruisers \u003cem\u003eOrlando\u003c\/em\u003e and \u003cem\u003eArethusa\u003c\/em\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eCenturion\u003c\/em\u003e (like \u003cem\u003eBarfleur\u003c\/em\u003e) was a Second Class Battleship carrying 10 inch guns. She was commissioned in 1894 and designed for service on the China station, based in Hong Kong, and this is where she spent the bulk of her service.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe captain of \u003cem\u003eCenturion \u003c\/em\u003eat this time was John Jellicoe; serving on \u003cem\u003eBarfleur\u003c\/em\u003e was Commander David Beatty, both men destined for greater fame in the future.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIan loves to paint what he calls his \"steampunk\" pre-Dreadnought battleships with their \"tall funnels, ram bows, ventilators and pipes\".
