After a 24-hour chase \u003cem\u003eFantome \u003c\/em\u003ecaught the runaway and discovered her to be the fast Portuguese slaver \u003cem\u003eJosephina\u003c\/em\u003e, which had already outrun four other Men of War, and was carrying 290 slaves.
