One exception in this painting is the large Dreadnought of the Royal Sovereign Class, to the right. She is almost certainlyRevengeawaiting a refit in Devonport Dockyard. Ahead ofRevengelies a Basilisk class destroyer and astern is possibly H.M.S.Anenome, launched in 1915 as a minesweeper of the Acacia class. Astern ofAnenomelies a cruiser of the Lancaster/Cumberland class.

In the centre is a reciprocating paddle tug of the Dromedary class and ahead of her is H.M.S.Vengeance. Behind her is another running ship, a cruiser of the Cumberland class, possibly evenCumberlandherself. Foreground left is a 'trot' of oldish destroyers, the ship in the foreground looking like a D class Thornycroft 30 knotter. And beyond her lies another Pelorus 3rd class cruiser almost certainly also awaiting a tow to the breakers.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1048/3050/1206/files/Woods_20-_20Hamoaze_20-_20large_ba09ff20-99c5-4020-85bc-91178e23ae33.jpg?v=1791279726
